A Day in the Life: Refreshing a Corporate Balloon Garland on Step-Repeat Backdrop

Not every event requires a brand-new design — sometimes a simple refresh is all it takes to make a space feel brand new. At Big Balloons, we often return to corporate offices and venues to remove older balloons and replace them with fresh ones so the celebration continues to look polished and picture-perfect.
Recently, we filmed a “day in the life” of what that process looks like. Here’s how a garland refresh comes together:
Step 1: Taking Down the Old Garland
Balloons are beautiful, but they don’t last forever. Once a garland has served its purpose for a party or event, we carefully remove it from its setup — whether that’s along a backdrop, staircase, or entryway.
This step requires patience to protect the walls, hooks, or rented backdrops while clearing out the old balloons.
Step 2: Inflating Fresh Balloons
With the old garland cleared, it’s time to start again. We inflate new balloons in the same color palette as the original design, making sure everything looks just as full and vibrant. Using balloons in different sizes gives the refreshed garland that signature organic look.
Step 3: Rebuilding the Garland
Instead of creating a completely new design, a refresh focuses on rebuilding the existing structure. This ensures the décor keeps the same look the client originally loved, but with balloons that look fresh and photo-ready.
We attach the new balloons to the base and adjust the flow so the garland drapes naturally.
Step 4: Final Touches & Reveal
Once installed, we add the finishing touches — whether that’s repositioning clusters, adjusting proportions, or adding small accents. The final result? A refreshed balloon garland that looks brand new and ready to impress guests all over again.
